The Windham County incident happened Friday, May 10, in Thompson on Fabyan Road.

Connecticut State Police said the victim was inside a car that was parked at the boat launch with Cassandra Heredia, age 30, to sell "crack" when Heredia began punching her.

Heredia then made a FaceTime call to a male friend who had accused the victim of stealing drugs from him. During the call, she allegedly told the man, “I beat the (expletive) out of her. What should I do?”

When the victim tried blocking her punches, Heredia stabbed her leg three times, police said. She allegedly then dragged the woman out of the car and left her on the pavement.

The victim was able to elevate her leg and tie a bandana around it to stop the bleeding. She called 911 and was taken by ambulance to UMASS Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts in stable condition.

Heredia was arrested Wednesday, June 12, in Bangor, Maine. She was extradited to Danielson Superior Court on Monday, July 8, on suspicion of assault and conspiracy to commit to assault.

Following her arraignment, she was jailed on a $175,000 bond.
